The prelude to our story starts in Wissembourg, France. It is here where Cousin Brian finds evidence of our 6th Great Grandparents, Peter and Magdalena Berger, and their son, our 5th Great Grandfather, Jacob. In his book, They Dared to Dream, Brian finds where Peter has died and Jacob makes him claim for his inheritance in the court in Wissembourg. It appears that Peter and Magdalena lived in or around Wissembourg around 1737 when the estate was settled.
I used this as a home base for 2 nights. This is one of the cuter villages/cities. It still retains its old world charms.
